BEGINNING THE DAY
(Contributed by tho Council of Christian Congregations.) Text.—Forgive us our debts as wo forgive our debtors. Math., 6; 12. Prayer.—We humbly beseech Thee, 0 Father, mercifully to look upon our infirmities; and for the glory of Thy Name turn from ns all those evils that our folly may have brought upon us. Forgive our national and individual sins, our forgetfulness of Thy love, our neglect of Thy Word and Thy House of Prayer. In our distress may we always turn unto Thee and put our trust in Thy mercy. Help us evermore to serve Thee in holiness and pureness of life, to Thy honour and glory: through our only Mediator and Advocate, Jesus Christ, pur Lord. Amen.
