GIFT TO MISS NUTSEY
NORTHCOTE RETURNED MEN The esteem in which Miss E. M. Nutsey, 0.13. E., lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, is held by residents of Northcoto was shown on Saturday night when a social evening arranged by the Northcoto Returned Soldiers' Association was tendered to her. Miss Nutsey, who has been appointed matron-in-chief of the New Zealand Army Nursing Service overseas, is the vice-patron of the Northcote Returned Soldiers' Association. Representatives of other Northcoto organisations were present, and Mr. A. V. Tyer presided. On behalf of the Northcote Association, Miss Nutsey was presented with a silver identification disc which was mounted with a greenstone tiki in the centre. The speakers were Mr. A. V. Tyer, Mr. R. Martin, Mayor of Northcote, Mr. W. E. Carter and Mr. A. Lennon.
