HOSTESS HOUSE
In response to an appeal from the Papakura Borough Council for a working : bee to clean up the grounds of Hostess House on Saturday, some excellent work was accomplished. The paths round the house were prepared for concreting, and the tennis lawn cut. A large number of shrubs were pruned and cut back, and other tidying-up done. Showery weather in the afternoon unfortunately hampered the work. Mrs. AV. R. Wilson, chairman of the provincial executive of the Hostess House Committee, assisted by other members, provided lunch and afternoon tea for the workers. Another working bee will be held noxt Saturday.
