THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE AUSTRALIAN ISSUES FIRM c ] Increased activity developed on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, dealing covering a wider range of j equity shares than on the previous day. Tho demand for Government loans was still very strong, hut fewer supplies wore offering, and business consequently diminished. In shares buyers showed some hesitancy in renewing late offers in cor1_ tain directions, and a number of transactions took place at slightly easier rates. This recession affected principally Now Zealand companies, Australian issues remaining notably firm.
