"INFANT'S" £20,000
MOTHER AS TRUSTEE Mr. Justice Bennott was asked in the Chancerv Division, London, the other day, to'decide whether an "infant" in the eves of the law could exercise tho "faculties of judgment, discretion and selection." The "infant" referred to —Mr. ISorman' John Bridges Parsons, of Old Wharf Farm, Shillingford, Oxford, who was 20 last February—appointed his - mother to the vacant trusteeship of n fund of £20,000 settled upon him b.y his father, who died in 1926. The wisdom or propriety of the appointment was not challenged—only its validity. His Lordship reserved judgment, as there was no direct authority on tlio point.'
