CABIN BOY OVERBOARD
LONG SEARCH IN VAIN [by TET-EGRAPH —rUESS association] WELLINGTON, Thursday As his ship, an overseas trader, was leaving the harbour last night, H. Carr, aged 19, of Cardiff, England, cabin boy, disappeared overboard near Ward Island. A ship's boat was manned to look for him and the examination vessel, Janio Soddon, then at tlio heads, was signalled and left her station to assist.
The water was choppy owing to a fresh northerly wind and in spite of a two-hour search the lad was not found.
