BLOMFI ELD AND KATAN Although (ho British Empire lillo will not he at stake in the wrestling bout at flic Town Hall on Monday night betwren Loft.v Blomfield and John Katan. the result of the contest, will have a direct bearing on the championship, as the winner will have first claim for a challentre bout with MeCready. As the season has now reached its closing stages, title challenges are necessarily limitcd. and neither Blomfield nor Katan is prepared to risk Insintr an opportunity of gaining a bout with the holder. A bout between Blomfield and Katan always ha* (lie appearance of a "grml-jr" contest, and the m.inner in which their last match in Auckland closed left no doubt that feclinp: would lie keener than ever in the next mectinir. Both men have held the Empire title during the season, and have proved themselves to bo in the front rank of firstclass wrestling.
