A weak depression ' -was located in the north Tasman Sea. i Forecast: mainly light or moder'ate in force and rather variable in ' direction, westerlies to north-westerlies predominating at first, but gradually tending north-easterly in the Isorth 1 Island. Seas moderate on the west , coast, slight in the east, but rising later from the Hauraki Gulf northward. Weather for the most part fair s.nd milder, a few scattered showers, however, in western and far southern of tho South Island, and unsettled conditions with drizzle developing later from about Taranaki northward.
