CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL MAR IST TO PLAY TAKAPUNA JUBILEE TROPHY PROSPECTS The meeting next Saturday afternoon of the two leading teams, Marist and Takapuna, is expected to bring to finality the Auckland Rugby Union's senior championship for the 19-10 season. The successful side will win the Gallagher Shield nnd the Jubilee Trophy. The latter, however, is subject to challenge, and such match would take plr.ee on tho following Saturday. when tho season is duo to be odiciallv closed.

Tho Marist-Takapuna game will bo the main attraction on the Kden Park Oval, tho curtain-raiser being between Training College and Ponsonby. Both these matches should prove excellent attractions, the. former in view of the fact that it will decido tho championship, and tho latter on account of tho fact that Training Collego is a team with good prospects of being selected for the challenge match for the Jubilee Trophy tho following week. All supporters of the game are agreed that, but for the temporary loss of players during tho term vacation. Training College would in all probability havo been up with the leading teams.
