STATE HOUSING
POSITION AT PAPAKURA A promise that consideration would be given to the Papakura Borough Council's offer of land free to build State houses on was received at its meeting last evening. The Minister stated he had asked the Director of Housing Construction to investigate this particular property, but at present sufficient land had been acquired in Papakura to satisfy immediate requirements. Information was also received from the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, Minister of Housing, through Mr. J. N. Massey, M.P., that tenders closed on September 17 for the construction of five houses at Papakura.
