WEEKLY LUNCHEON MEETING Amusing comparisons between commercial life in the time of Cleopatra and at the present day were given by Mr. E. M. Blaiklock, lecturer, in classics at Auckland University College, in an address at the weekly luncheon meeting of fthe Auckland Rotary Club yesterday. The president, Mr. P. M. Winstone, presided over a large attendance. Mr. Blaiklock said -much had been learned about the business _ life Cleopatra's day through writings preserved on papyrus. These showed that many of the problems and annoyances that confronted the modern business man had also been known to their predecessors in Egypt. Many examples quoted by Mr. Riaiklock were greeted with laughter in appreciation or their similarity to modern difficulties. It was announced that at the luncheon next Monday a collection would be made toward the fund for the relief of distress in London. 1# •was also stated that a forum would be held at Rotorua on November 8 and ?• The guests included representative# of the Auckland Orphanages Advisory Council, and members were urged w support the appeal for funds which tne council is conducting this week._ Utner guests included Mr. W.
