Monday A charge of murder of Jeremiah O'Sullivan,. of Manunui," yesterday afternoon, was preferred- against Charles Harold Longley, aged 39, in the Police Court at-Taumarunui to-day, before justices of the peace. ■ Sergeant Abel applied for a remand until next Monday and this was granted. "* An inquest was opened to-day before Mr. "W. Thomas, district coroner. Deceased, who was married, aged 52, was fatally shot yesterday afternoon.
