BEGINNING THE DAY
(Contributed by tho Council of Christian Congregations.)
Text. —This is the victory that overcometh the world even our Faith. I. John, v.; 4.
Prayer.—Eternal Father, we pray today that whatever may be the conflicts that press around us, and the temptations which beset our path, wo may look upward and trust Thee the more. We know that Thou art perfecting in us and through us Thy Divine purposes; strengthen us then this day by the enabling power of Thy Holy Spirit, that we may be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
