OBJECTION TO PROPOSAL [BY TELEGRAPH: —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE ABOHA, Friday Concern at the possibility of the Government bringing in a measure to close shops both on Saturday and for the late night was expressed by the Te Aroha. Chamber (of Commerce. The discussion arose fijom a letter received from Mr. C. A. I Wilkinson; M.P., who said that at the Uast session the Minister of Labour hads introduced an amendment which bring in a clause closing all businesses on the late night and Saturday monning. As a result of strong protests fropn the Opposition the clause had been withdrawn'. However, the Prime Minister had intimated his intention of bringing the bill before the House again next month. It was agreed toj support Mr. Wilkinson in lodging a (protest against the proposal.
