Lost Coin Puzzle

There were three boys who went to stay at an hotel. The manager charged them thirty shillings for a room per week, and made them pay in advance. They each put down ten shillings and went up to their room. After theyhad gone, the manager " thought, "That's rather a lot; I think I'll knock the price down to twenty-five shillings.' So he took five shillings from the thirty they had given him, and calling. the page boy. he said, "Give this, five Shillings back to the boys who just went upstairs." Now, as he went upstairs, the page boy thought, "Why should I give, them all the five shillings?" So he put two of them in his pocket and gave,thaboys each a shilling back.
