SNATCHED FROM DEATH
Harvey Langham, gateman at the West Central Avenue crossing of the West Shore llailroad, in Bergenfield, New Jersey, raced down the tracks from his post the other ere.ning and snatched two small children from the path of the east-bound Ontario and Western express. Ho was lowering the gates at 6.15 o'clock when he saw the children, Jeannette and Edward Harrington, jun., aged 2} and H years old, respectively, wandering between the rails 100 feet from the gate. He let the gates crash to the street, sprinted to the children, grabbed one under each arm and jumped off the tracks a few feet ahead of the train.
