BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The excellent entry for the Auckland amateur boxing championships would appear to ensure the success of what has invariably proved a popular fixture with Auckland sportsmen, and each division should produce good bouts. Six of last year's champions''will be defending their titles, and they will have no easy tnsk in retaining same. Winners of the titles in each division will receive a special blazer and championship badge. An innovati >n on this year's programme is the Inclusion of a junior section for novice lads who are no' quite experienced enough for the hard competition in the senior division. Thirty novices hnvo entered and the bouta promise thrills and willing action.
