BUSINESS MAN'S DEATH
MR. A. B. WILSON The death has occurred of Mr. Alexander Brown Wilson, who had been associated with the printing business for many years. He was born at Kilmarnock, Scotland, in 1871, and came with his family in the ship Auckland in 1876 to Port Chalmers, the family later removing to Wellington. He was the second son of the late Mr. John Wilson, whoso family comprised eight sons and four daughters.
As a young mau, Mr. Wilson was apprenticed to the bookbinding trade with Messrs. Lyon and Blair, of Wellington. After gaining further experience in London, lie returned to fill leading positions in the trade in Wellington and Auckland, and later was appointed to the staff of the New Zealand Herald. For the last 20 years Mr. Wilson had been on the directoratfc of Leightous, Limited, and in charge of their manufacturing department. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
