OBITUARY
MR. ROBERT GREEN [from our own correspondent] OTOROTTAXGA. Saturday The death has occurred of Mr. Robert Green, aged 80, a pioneer ol the Northern King Country. Mr. Green, who was born-at Newcastle. England, came to Now Zealand at the ago of 17 and walked from Wellington to Kihikihi through the King Country, which was then a roadless wilderness. After working for somo years in tho storekeeping business of Mr. J. W. Ellis, of Ellis and Burnand, Mr. Green took over the business, and with _ Mr. P. Colebrook he established a chain_ of stores throughout the Northern King Country.
