BOXING CHAMPIONS
KING'S SCHOOL CONTESTS
1 Boxing of a high order was seen at the annual championships of King's School, held in the school gymnasium. Thero was a largo attendance of parents and friends. The trophy for the most scientific boxer was won by 2v. P. Hay,- while the best loser medal was awarded to D. G. Steward. A special medal presented by Mr. R. Frickcr was won by B. H. Norton. In the inter-houso competition, School House was auccessful with 170 points. Marsden recorded 43, Bruce 28, and Selwyn IS. Tho referee was Mr. N. C. McLean and the iudges were Messrs. G. Bush and A, Joplin. Mr. H. Watts was timekeeper. The finals in each division resulted:— Heavy-weight.—Special challenge; N. P. Hay beat N. H. Brett. Light-heavy-weight.— N. P. Hay beat B. W. L. Clarke. Cruiser-weight.—D. R. Yates beat N. S. McQuilkin. Middle-weight.—T. U. Wells beat D. G. Steward. Welter-weight.—R. D. Morton beat G. G. Hansard. : Light-weight.—S. D. Brett" beat S. T. Cass. Feather-weight.—C. A.' Cresswell beat G. A. Morton. - Bantam-weight.—C. R. Allen beat B. H. Norton. ■ / - Fly-weight.—B. R. Rainger beat C. R. Gray. -. ■
