Eyesight Tests Applicants for driving licences in the American States of Kansas and Towa, now have to pass special eyesight tests. There is no scraping through just because one has memorised the letters on the chart, as no chart is used. All letters and patterns are projected on to a small screen. Automatic Hoods The popularity of open-air sports cars has been revived in America in recent years. They are now given a new appeal bv the introduction of automatic operation of the two-door drop-head coupe for 1910. Special bodies of this type are mostly electrically operated. The feature was introduced to America last November, and is now offered on standard convertible bodies by most of the prominent companies.
