Second Ben Hur

Darryl Zanuck is determined to make another "Ben Hur" of "The Great Commandment," complete with chariots.

"The Great Commandment," was originally made on a modest —almost amateurish —scale by an independent company. Zanuck was so struck with its possibilities that he bought it for £30,000 for remaking on the usually lavish Twentieth Centurv-Fox lines. It is a biblical story laid during, the Roman occupation of .Tudea and most of tho scenes will be filmed in a specially constructed "city" now being built in Mojave Desert.

It will depict how the events of that occupation closely parallel those in Europe under Nazi domination. Highlight will be a battle scene in which one hundred chariots are engaged. Tyrone Power and Linda Darnell have ben cast for tho leading roles.
