OBJECTIONS IN COUNCIL HONGKONG. Julv o 5 M one of the stormiest meetings to be 3ield by the Legislative Council some members opposed past and future evacuations from Hongkong as well as appropriations for the maintenance of evacuees to Manila and Australia. T.t is officially revealed that the British Cabinet ordered the evacuation in the belief that tho situation might become worse.
