AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP The Auckland provincial amateur billiards championship for the Billiards, Limited, shield, was continued last evening at Messrs. Billiards, Limited, showroom, when J. Robinson defeated E. W, Warren after a closelycontested game, by 48 points. Robinson scored freely at the start of tho game, and hud a sliglit lead at tho first hundred mark. Warren then settled down and breaks of 28, 20 and 22 followed. Hobinson maintained his consistency and led at tho second and hundred marks. Warren made a line allround run of Ufi. Robinson, however, retaliated with two runs of .'l7. In spite of a good uphill game bv Warren, who got within striking distance with a run of 31, Robinson maintained his advantage, and won with the final scores at:—J. Robinson, 500 (breaks of 20, 25, 87 and 37); E. W. Warren, 402 (breaks oi 28., 20. 22 35 and 31). > J. Lamb will play H. Ilae at 7.30 o'clock io-night. ,
