YOUNG PADDON PLEASES HUNTING BLOOD SHOWS PACE GOOD ROUND BY RACELINE [by telegraph OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday Good sprints by Young Paddon and Hunting Blood were the most noteworthy of this morning's trials at Te Rapa, when tho going on the course proper, 70ft. out from tho rails, was heavy and cutting out. Hunting Blood (Long) ran home from tho three-furlong post in 30 l-ss. He has taken no harm from racing at Matamata and is to contest the Haero Ra Handicap at Rotorua on Saturday. A rising two-year-old by Nightly tO, Mclnally) ran three furlongs in •11 3-os. He is coming to hand nicely. Trilliarch (Mcynell) negotiated five furlongs in 1.13, Ho handled tho conditions well and is not without prospects at Arawa Park. Genoral Risko (Long) took 1.1 l 3.5. Raceline (Long) worked over a round, to finish full of running, while Fat Boy (Meynoil) was not after time in traversing a similar distance. Among thoso sprinted down the straight were Bronze Bird, Gas Acre, Glenbevan, Gay Rosetto and Etcetera. The best gallop of tho morning was that of Young Paddon (O. Mclnally), who traversed seven furlongs in 1.-12 2-5. Ho ran his first furlong in 13s, two in 25 l-ss, threo in 30 4-5s and tho first half-mile in 50 3-ss, which time, under tho conditions, was very satisfactory. It has not been announced which race will' - bo his mission on Saturday, the Tally Ho Cup or the Haere Ra Handicap, but- in whichever he starts be should tako a deal of beating.
