PRISONERS SENTENCED Sentences of imprisonment with hard labour were imposed upon three prisoners who appeared before Mr. Justico Call an in the Supreme Court yesterday. . , . , A Maori, Angel Matthews, married, aged 28, who had been convicted on six charges of indecent assault upon a feniaio, and two of unlawful carnal knowledge, at Rawene, was sentenced to two years on each, concurrently. Gordon Lamond Pharoali Paterson, storeman, aged 39, is to serve six months for the theft of a quantity ot paper valued at £127 3s 6d from his employers. . _ . For forging and uttering a Savings Bank slip so that he could obtain money YValtor Tomuri, a Maori, aged 3b, was given six months on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent.
