BUTTER FOR BRITISH HOMES

Sir, —May I add my quota in support of "Lancashire Woman" , a .nd "Londoner," re butter for British homes. When we think what a treat it would be for those people in the areas whose only outlook in life these days is to wonder when the_ "Huns are coming across with their deadly weapons —and feel thankful they have escaped once more —we, at this side, ought to do our utmost even if it means agitation to the Government. I know there are others _ who will say shipping facilities are limited. That could be overcome by each putting in an application, and so much could he got off at each shipment. There would always be the feeling that something was being done, and this_ little gesture would be highly appreciated, besides helping our dairying industry—and our name pn the other side would still retain its highest level. So, while there are lots and lots of ideas talked about and read about, let us see if we cannot really put this into action. Tynesider.
