TEAM LEAVES FIELD ACCEPTANCE OF APOLOGIES GAMES FOR NEXT SATURDAY Regret was expressed by the oaptain, H. Milliken, and executive of the Papakura Club at last evening's meeting of the Auckland Rugby League for an incident at Carlaw Park last Saturday, when its senior team walked off the field during the progress of the second spell of its match against Richmond. The matter was discussed in committee at great length, and the chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, subsequently stated that the apologies had been accepted. The methods adopted in the appointment of referees to senior games were dealt with by a strong deputation from the Senior Officers' Association. The business was taken in committee and a conference is to bo held with the Referees' Association. Favourable consideration was given a suggestion from Mr. L. Bull, chairman of the Referees' Association, that, where a player ordered ofl the field failed to appear at the executive meeting, the referee's report of the incident bo not read.

Mr. R. Doble, delegate on the New Zealand Rugby League, reported that a challenge had been received' from Inangahua by the West Coast representatives for the Northern Union Cup. The match will probably be at Greymouth. The ladies' social committee made a donation of toward the injured players' fund. Mr. Campbell expressed appreciation of the generous action.
