Pressure was high to the north and over eastern Australia. Forecast: Moderate to strong northerly to westerly winds at first from Marlborough northward. a southerly change later extending to beyond Cook Strait. Seas slight or moderate. Weather unsettled generally. with some rain or drizzle in most / districts, but more especially in the central provinces. Temperatures cold in the §outh, with some snow on the ranges, and cool to moderate in the north.
