RESIDENT OF THAMES :— [BT TETjEGB AI'H OTVX CORRESFOXDE>'T"| f THAMES, Monday The death occurred to-day at Thames of Mrs. Frances Moore, an early colonist. aged 97. The widow of the late Mr, William Moore, who died at Thames in 193-1 in his 93rd year, Mrs. , Moore, whose maiden name was Miss Blomfield," arrived at Auckland from England with her parents in 1869 and was married in 1871. The couple settled in Coromandel, where Mr. Moore was 'interested in mining, and after living there tor 40 years they came to Thames. Mrs. Moore's brother, the late Mr. Charles Blomfield, was an Auckland artist tvell known for his paintings of the Pink and. White Terraces. .Mrs. Mooro is survived bj- a daughter and two sons.
