MOTOR RELICENSING
PROGRESS OF THE WORK The total number of motor vehicles lvlieensed at the registration depot at 1;ho Wellesley Street Post Office by yesterday afternoon was about 11,000. approximately 1000 more than the figure on the corresponding date last year. Applications are being received at the rate of over 1000 a day, and sio far officials report no sign of the anticipated decline in licence renewals Petrol coupons are being issued with tho new number-plates, and in order to avoid losses, involving difficulty in securing' replacements, it, is suggested that motorists should put their new coupons away in safety until they become operative on June 1.
