NEWS FROM TE AROHA
Mrs. S. C. Carter, Ngarua, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. W. F. Bates, of Iluakaka, has returned home from a visit to Auckland. The Misses M. and .T. Hay ward, New Plymouth, are spending the school holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Hayward, Ngarua. Miss M. Norton lias returned from a visit to Auckland. Tho monthly ingleside of the Te Aroha Caledonian Society was • held in the parish hall recently. The programme was arranged by the ladies of the society, Mrs. Hamilton presiding, assisted by Mrs. Monson and Mrs. Williams. Oportunity was taken by tho Chief, Mr. N. Or. McLcod, to present the miniature of the Marion Hamilton Cup won last year to Dorocn Voysey. She was also the winner of tlio cup for the Irish jig. Another presentation was made to Dawn Atkins, who Won the highland fling competition.
