[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday For the development of the human being there was probably no better form of education than technical education, said the Minister of Education, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, when officially opening the new wing of classrooms and the now woodwork room at the Stratford Technical High School. "I am pleased that my first official duty is associated with technical education." Mr. Mason said that, although his appointment as Minister of Education was only recent, ho had for .a. long time cherished an interest in technical education and had a great admiration for it. It was different from training in mere words, for in that form of education there was the danger tlmt imperfections of knowledge could be obliterated by an eloquent vocabulary.
