KICKED BY A HORSE
TROOPER'S LEG BROKEN HAND CRUSHED BY HOOF [BY TELEGRAPH' —OWN CORRESPONDENT] HASTINGS, Monday . While engaged in practice drill preparatory to the ceremonial parade of the Wellington-East Coast, Mounted Rifles, who are in camp at Waipitluirau, Trooper W. Young, aged 19, son of. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Young, of Waipukurau, fell under the horses and suffered a broken leg and a crushed hand. The horse next to Trooper Young's lashed out with both hind hooves, causing his horse to shy and unseat him. Before he could got clear of the other horse, it kicked him again, breaking two bones in his leg below the kneo and planting its hoof on his hand as lie fell.
