SCHOOL ATHLETES

CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR SENIOR TITLE TO D. H. CAREW Owing to a fairly strong wind blowing down the finishing straight, no records were broken at the final day of the Mount Albert Grammar School's annual athletic sports, held at the school groiuids yesterday. Only one record was bettered during the meeting, this being in the senior broad jump on Monday, when I). H. Carew jumped 21ft. sin. For the second year in succession the senior title was won by Carew, with 20 points. N. A. C. McMillan was the runner-up with 15 points. The intermediate championship was closely contested, ?.L W. L. Logan winning from A. C Thorn by one point. Logan's points totalled 13. while A. C. Hanlen. 0"/, points, was third. In the junior championship, G. A. McGavock was successful with 14 points. J. G.
