VERDICT OF ACCIDENT [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest held before the coroner, Mr. F. W. Platts, to-day, into the death of Quartermaster-Sergeant Francis Moss Boord, aged 30, of the Burnham military camp, who died in the Waikato Hospital on March 29 following injuries received in a motor-car accident near Rotorua on March 25. Gunner Raymond Boord, of the Papakura military camp, gave evidence that lie was driving a sedan car on the Rotorua-Te Puke road on March 25. The deceased, his brother, was seated with him. When Hearing a bend at about 40 miles an hour his brother grasped his arm. The car struck a bank on the side of the road and overturned. His brother did not appear to be hurt and it was not until next day that he complained of injuries. Witness had had no drink on the day of the accident, and ho regarded the car's speed as reasonable. If his i brother had not grasped his arm he would easily have negotiated the bend. Evidence had been previously given that deceased suffered a dislocated neck and paralysis of the body.
