PREMIER'S VISIT

TEADE DISCUSSIONS MR. FORGAN SMITH'S MISSION SATISFACTION WITH PROGRESS Satisfaction with the progress of discussions relating to trade which he opened with the New Zealand Government was expressed yesterday by Mr. W. Forgan Smith, Premier of Queensland, prior to his departure by the Monterey for Canada. He hopes to resume the negotiations by spending about a week in the Dominion on his return voyage to Australia. "I can make no announcement at the present stage, except to say that I have met various Ministers and had certain discussions with them," Mr. Forgan Smith said. "I am quite satisfied with the progress that has been made." Mr. Forgan Smith took a prominent part in the funeral of Mr. Savage on Sunday. He accompanied members of the Cabinet in the procession, and was associated with the Ministers at the graveside at Fort Bastion. He observed yesterday that the vast and reverent crowd was a remarkable tribute to the late Prime Minister.
