FRANCE AND ITALY

AGREEMENT ON DEBTS (Received April 1, 6.36 p.m.) PARIS, March 31 Italy and France have reached an agreement for the liquidation of Italy's indebtedness. For trade debts, France collects £22,723 a month from the value of Italian goods imported, and for financial debts, 14 per cent of the value of these goods. The agreement ends on December 31. The agreement was signed on March 6, but the text has only now been published. In addition to the debt question, it provides for the development of the wine trade between the two countries.
