THEFT AND RECEIVING

TWO ACCUSED FOR SENTENCE A series of offences involving theft of* property and money and receiving stolen goods, occurring between January IS and March 12. resulted in the appearance in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. J. Morling, S.M., of a waiter, Cyril John Patrick O'Sullivnn, aged 21, and a labourer, William Erin Rhind, aged IS. Both accused were represented by Mr. Aekins. Rhind and O'Sullivan were jointly charged with entering at night premises occupied by F. M. Pavlinovich and stealing £4B in money. Rhind was also charged with stealing household effects valued at £1 3s lOd from Pavlinovich and receiving articles valued at £S Is 6d, knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. O'Sullivan faced two counts of receiving property of a total value of £6 lis 6d, knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained. On the joint charge accused pleaded guilty and were remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence. Accused admitted the remaining charges and were convicted and remanded until the indictable charge has been before the Supreme Court.
