NEW OFFICERS

TEENTHAM SUCCESSES CAMP APPOINTMENTS THIRTY-NINE IN AUCKLAND Having successfully completed a course of instruction at the Army School, Trentham, 83 members of the second advanced training course received appointment to commissioned rank at the end of last week. Thirtynine of them have been posted to northern military district camps and will report at either Papakura or Ngaruawaliia after a few days' leave. They are in addition to those members of the same course who received their commissions several weeks ago and are already in training with their units. A son of the late Major-General Sir George Richardson, Second-Lieutenant H. S. Richardson, lias been jjosted to the 7th Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery. Second - Lieutenant K. A. Longmore will go to the 6th Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery. THIRD ECHELON UNITS POSTINGS FROM DISTRICT Further officers have been posted from the northern military district to third echelon units of the Expeditionarv Force. Most of them are from the Auckland area, but several have been drawn from the Paeroa and Whangarei areas as well. All are to report to-mor-row to the camps to which they have been posted. Following are infantry postings: — Lieutenant P. C. Griffiths, SecondLieutenants C. McN. Canny, V. C. Cox. S. D. Bridge, R. J. H. Seal and D. M. Gallaway Artillery postings are: —Lieutenant A. Marbeck, Second-Lieutenants P. J. Croft. H. J. Gregg, W. D. Lund, M. P. Ritchie and I. T. Y. Johnston. 11l addition, Lieutenants J. L. Rayner and F. IT. Poolman have been posted to the Divisional Cavalry; Lieutenant R. C. Gibson left last night for Burnham to join the Army Service Corps; and Second-Lieutenant .T. A. Goodsir is going to Trentham to report to the New Zealand Engineers reinforcements. Three dental officers are leaving tomorrow for the Army School of Instruction at Trentham, having been posted to tlie New Zealand Temporary Staff. They are Lieutenants J. K. Hay, K. T. Moss and J. S. H. Kinnear. PROSPECTIVE N.0.0.'S MORE RECRUITS SELECTED • Small details of new recruits continue to be sent from the Auckland area of the northern military district to the various camps of the Expeditionary Force. The largest of these parties will be one of over M 0 prospective non-com-missioned officers to be despatched in a few days for Ngaruawahia. The list of selections is now almost complete. Five men who have been selected as additional prospective non-commissioned officers will parade to-morrow at 8.30 a.m. and go to Narrow Neck to join those already in training for the 24th (Auckland) Battalion. They are: —J. Brown, A. F. Clapcott, W. A. Malone, L. A. Robert and C. H. C. Warren. Also parading at the drill hall tomorrow, but bound for _ as .prospective non-commissioned-' officers for the Bth Field Company, New Zealand Engineers, are A. It. Cameron. P. P. Denning, H. .Tacks and G. E. McG a raid. It. G. Russell left for Papakura yesterday to be attached to the New Zealand Base Pay Office.
