THE!. ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Auckland Master Bakers? and Pastrycooks' In« dustrial Union of Employers was held on ,Saturday night at the Chamber of Commerce there being a large" attendance of bakers from all parts of the province. The retiring president, Mr.' Claude Cowan, referred in the annual report to the increased cos.ts of produring bread, and the need for revision of pxisting prices, which had. been fixed in 1936. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. G. K. Mathieson; vicepresidents, Messrs. J. A. Connon and .J. Parkes; delegate to New Zealand executive, Mr. C. Cowan; representative to employers' association, Mr. E. S Harrop; executive, Messrs. E. L. Bur.on, A- D. Comes, C'. Cowan, A. Farrar, H. W. Griffin, J. McGregor, W. R. Morgan, R. H; Montgomery, H. P. Murray, J. Bice, J. H. Shoebi-idge, J. Wilson, and presidents or their nominees of all sub-associations.
