FORMER RUSSIAN PRINCE NOTED RUGBY FOOTBALLER (Received March 31', 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. March 30 A famous Rugby international player, Pilot-Officer Prince Obolensky. aged 24, was accidentally killed while landing an aeroplane. • _ He was a member of the English team which defeated Wales on March 9, and was selected to play in the return match on April 13. He won Rugby fame in a day by scoring two remarkable tries for England against New Zealand at Twickenham in 1936. i- . . A Russian by birth, the Prince was naturalised in 1936, and was the firstforeigner to gain a British Rugby cap. Ho said that, having played for England, lie wanted to light for her.
