CARQ MEMORIAL CUP OPEN GRADE COMPETITION PARNELL WINS SEMI-FINAL Parnell entered the challenge round of the Cnro Cup inter-club competition for teams in the open grade of the Auckland Lawn Tenuis Association on Saturday when it decisively defeated the hitherto unbeaten Eden and Epsom No. 2 team by 10 matches to two, one being unfinished. The victorious team will play Eden and Epsom No. 1, holder of the trophy, next Saturday at tho Stanley Street courts. Quarter-finals: Miss McDonald and McMillan beat Miss Griffin and Child; 8 —o; Miss Ryder and Clark beat Mrs. Finch and Boardman, B—<l. OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIP [by TELEGRAPH—riIESS association] DUNEDIN, Sunday The final of the combined doubles championship of tho Otago lawn tennis tournament was concluded yesterday, when K. Bryan and Miss R. Wilson beat G. A. Pearce and Miss M. Kerr, 4—6, o—2, 6—4.
