ANONYMOUS HONESTY
When Mrs. Hilda Latimer, of Weston Lane, Southampton, lost her purse containing £l7, she reported the matter to the police, without much hope that the finder would resist the temptation and hand over the money. While lying in bed late on the same night she heard something being pushed through the letter-box in the front door. On investigation she found that an unknown person, who had found the purse, had traced its owner evidently by a receipt inside, and returned it complete with contents.
