ENGROSSING TALE
Although it is a Crime Club story, '"Verdict of Twelve" is out of the ordinary thriller class. There is a murder and also a trial, but the author has focussed the interest of the reader in tho jury. He provides a brilliant little sketch of each of the twelve, which gives an unusual vitality to the dis- • cussion about the verdict. This is an engrossing tale. (.
