By MIRIAM PRIOR (16) T'HE fairy sweetmaker was verv worried. Ho had orders to deliver thirteen dozen large Easter eggs by Saturday, and his naughty little gnomes had gone to a fair. His forehead wrinkled in a bewildered frown as he looked at the piles of materials to he used. '1 hen with a sigh lie took out his big pot and senlos. "Perhaps if I work all night T may be able to finish the most important ones." he said dejectedly. "How disappointed the fairies will be." Then the door opened and five little pixies stepped inside. "We have rome to help you," they said. 'I he fairy's face lighted and soon they were nil working with a will. The chocolate was made, the ribbons and chickens were sorted out, and soon everything was done and a pile of little boxes filed up one corner of the room. Next morning, King Poggapogga picked up a large Easter egg from the table. "They have left the chickens off this time," he thought, as ho took a large bite. Then he held the brown egg in his hand md stared. "Why, bless my bald head," he cried, "the chicken is inside 1" And sure enough there was a little yellow head peeping through the chocolate. Later the sweetinnker found that his helpers had been elves of_ bird-laiid, who looked after real chickens and birds, and that was how the mistake had been made,
