SECOND ECHELON MEN
GUESTS AT A DANCE FUNCTION AT MORRINSVILLE A social in honour of 17 local members of the second echelon, Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and Seaman A. K. Poolcv, H.M.S. Achillea, was given in the Physical Culture Hall, Mon'insville, this week. Leather holdalls were presented to the guests 0 f honour. Addresses were given by the deputyM avor, Mr. W. Morrice, Mr. W. S. Goosinan, M.P. for Waikato. Mr. W. C. Kennedy, chairman of the Pinko County Council, Mr. K. Hitchmaii, on behalf of the Morrinsvillo Eeturned Soldiers' Association, and Mr. W. McPherson. Stall' Sergeant-Major Allan Ferguson replied on behalf of the men. The evening concluded with dancing and musical items.
