THEATRE FOR PATARURU
[from our own correspondent] PUTARURU, Friday At a meeting of the Putaruru Town Board a notice of motion brought forward by Mr. R. E. Taylor with regard to the provision of a theatre in Putaruru was considered. At the present time the Public Hall is used as a picture theatre, the licence being held by the Town Board. It was decided to investigate the desirability of erecting a theatre, either by means of the promotion of a limited liability company, which would lease the building to the board with an option to purchase, or otherwise, the exhibitors' licence to be retained by the board.
