WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS
MOST FIXTURES CANCELLED Most of the sports fixtures originally set for the week-end have been cancelled, owing to the death of Mr. Savage, but several will be held. Matches under the control of the Auckland Cricket Association will take place to-day, the main fixture being at Eden Park, when Middlemore will meet Parnell. Competitions under the control of the Auckland City and Suburban Association will also be continued. All players in these matches will observe a two minutes' silence at three o'clock. The Mnnukau Cruising Club will hold harbour races to-day for yachts and launches. Baseball matches will take place at Fowlds Park. Golf clubs will be closed i'or a number of hours tomorrow.
