TE PUKE UNION'S MEETING [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] TE PUKE, Sunday. The president, Mr. A." E. Spratt, .reported to the annual meet ins of the Te Puke Rugby Union that, although no trophies were won last year, a successful season , was experienced, particularly with regard io club foothall. A small profit was shown on the year's working, the insurance fund being in a healthy condition. . . It was decided to get in touch with the Tauranga Rugby Union with a view to the two unions playing club football together instead of as two separate unions as at present The meeting also agreed to a remit asking the Bay of Plenty Union to alter the present method of challenging for the To Ilurunui Apanui Shield to a competition of home and home matches under a zoned system. . ~ , The election of ofheers resulted as follows. — L'atron, Mr. J. P. Mahoney; president. Mr \ E. Spratt: vice-presidents, Messrs. T. E. Palmer, A. J. Collins, G. Swcetnian; secretary and treasurer. Mr. E. Bartram; honorary auditor, Mr. W. E. Hookey; management committee, Messrs. W. Dickson, A. R Vnlder, X. B. Williams. J. P. Kyan, D. Knight, D. M. Steel, E. Joyce, C. Donovan, \V. Pile; delegates to Bay of Plenty Rugby Union, Messrs. A. E. Spratt, J. P. Ryan, E. Bartram.
